Product Information:
This original Lake City Army Ammunition Plant box of 7.62mm NATO Special Ball M118 (lot LC-88C137-035, 1988) contains 20 rounds of the classic U.S. military sniper cartridge, loaded with the 173-grain FMJBT projectile developed for long-range accuracy. Redesignated from the earlier M118 Match load after the M852 took over competition duties in the early 1980s, Special Ball ammunition was issued for combat and tactical sniper use in weapons such as the M21, M24, and M40 series throughout the late Cold War era. Produced at the historic Lake City plant, these sealed brown-box lots remain highly collectible examples of genuine U.S. military surplus match-grade ball ammunition.
